What is Tracker?

Tracker is a location-based service that allows you to get a general description of the location of your family, friends, or establishments in the Philippines. Tracker locates mobile phones using the signals received by the cell sites of Globe Telecom.s cellular network.

How do I enroll?

To enroll, click on the "Enroll here" link on the Globe Tracker home page. Enter you mobile number then click on "Send Confirmation Request". You will receive an SMS from 7000 (the Tracker SMS access number), requesting you to confirm your request. Reply to the message by sending CONFIRM to 7000. A confirmation message will be sent to your mobile phone. Wait for your screen to redirect you to the Tracker Web enrollment page.

On the enrollment page, enter your preferred name. (This is only needed if you are new to Tracker.) Enter your e-mail address and your password. Confirm your password by typing it in again. Then, click on "Sign me up!." You will receive an SMS from 7000 stating that you have successfully enrolled. The page will refresh and you can now begin using Tracker.

How do I login?

To use this service, enter your 11-digit mobile number (Ex. 0917XXXXXXX) and your password on Tracker's home page, then click Login.

What will I do if I forgot my password?

If you forgot your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link on the Tracker home page. Enter your mobile number then click on the "Send Confirmation Request" button. You will receive an SMS on your mobile phone saying that you have requested to retrieve your password. Send CONFIRM to 7000, to confirm this request. The password will be sent to your mobile phone. After receiving the password, go back to the Tracker Home Page and log in.

I already have a password for the Globe website. Can I use that to access the Tracker website?

Currently, you may not use your Globe password to access the Tracker website. Upon enrollment, you will be asked to create a Tracker password, which will be the password you will use to access Tracker through the web and WAP.

When I try to log in, why does it say that I am already logged in on a different browser?

This means that you are currently logged in on the Tracker website or you did not log out from your last Tracker session. You will be able to login when your Tracker session is logged out or when it expires after 30 minutes.

How do I find a person?

To find a person, click Find a Person in the menu. You will see a list of contacts you can locate. Click the box beside the mobile number of the person you want to find then click Find Selected. You can find multiple persons at the same time by clicking multiple boxes then clicking Find Selected. Locating a person costs Php5.00 each.

If your list is empty, you have to add a contact before you can find him/her.

How do I add a person to my list?

To add a person in your list, click Find a Person on the menu then click Add a Person. This will show the Add a Person page. Enter the name and 11-digit mobile number of the person you want to add then click Add. A page showing the contacts in your list will be displayed. The contact you just added will have a "Pending request" status. The person will receive a text message asking for permission to be added to your list. When he/she accepts your invitation, then the status will change to an "In list" status.

You may add as many people as you want at Php2.50/person. You can only add Globe and TM mobile numbers.

How long is the expiration of my invitation?

Your invitation will expire after 24 hours.

How will I know that my invitation has expired?

You will receive an SMS notification that your invitation has expired. The name of the person will also be deleted from your list.

Do I need to add the person again after my invitation has expired?

Yes, you need to add the person again. You will be charged Php2.50/person.

Will I be charged for locating a person with a 'Pending request' status?

No. You will not be charged because you will not be able to locate a person with a 'Pending request' status.

Will I get charged if the mobile phone of the person I am trying to locate is turned off?

If the subscriber you are looking for has turned off his mobile phone or is outside network coverage, you will still be charged P2.50.

Will I get charged if the location of my contact cannot be determined?

No, system and network errors are not charged.

How do I find an establishment?

To find an establishment, click Find a Place on the menu. You can look for:

 Specific establishments that are near you (leftmost pane "Nearest to you")
 Establishments in a specific place (middle pane "In a specific place")
 Establishments belonging to a specific category that are near you (rightmost pane "By category")

To look for establishments near you, enter the name of the establishment in the space provided in the "Nearest you" pane and click on the "FIND" button. Each transaction costs Php5.00.

To look for establishments in a given place, enter the name of the establishment and the location in the "In a specific place" pane and click on the "FIND" button. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

To look for establishments belonging to a specific category or business type near you, select the establishment type from the Category drop down list in the "By category" pane and click on the "FIND" button. Each transaction costs Php5.00.

What is a PIN?

A PIN is a code to prevent unauthorized use of your Tracker account through text. When your PIN is on, you will need your PIN in all of your Tracker transactions through text. Assigning a PIN is optional.

How do I add a PIN?

To add a PIN, click PIN on the menu then click Add Pin. This will show the Add PIN page. Enter your preferred 4-digit PIN code, enter your middle name, and then click Add PIN. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

How do I turn my PIN on/off?

To switch your PIN on/off, click PIN on the menu then click Turn PIN on/off. This will show the Turn PIN on/off page. To set your PIN on/off, enter your current PIN then click Turn PIN on/off. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

How do I change my PIN?

To change your PIN, click PIN on the menu then click Change PIN. This will show the Change PIN page. Enter your existing PIN and your preferred new PIN then click Change. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

How do I retrieve my existing PIN?

To retrieve your PIN, click PIN on the menu then click Retrieve PIN. This will show the Retrieve PIN page. Enter your middle name then click Retrieve. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

What is SOS?

SOS is an emergency feature that allows you to define a nominee list who will receive your location whenever you dial *77. Your nominees will be charged Php5.00 per transaction.

You may nominate as many contacts as you want. You may only nominate Globe and/or TM subscribers.

How do I add a person to my SOS Nominee list?

To add a person in your Nominee list, click SOS on the menu then click Add Nominee. This will show the Add Nominee page. Enter the name and 11-digit mobile number of the person you want to add then click Add. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

What are Alerts?

Alerts allow you to schedule location text alerts for a person in your list by hour intervals or by a specific time.

How do I set interval-based alerts?

To set interval-based alerts, click Alerts on the menu then click Interval-based Alerts. This will show a list of your existing interval-based alerts. Click Add an Interval-based Alert to go to the Add Alert page. Select the name with whom you want to set an alert, enter an hour interval then click Set. This transaction is free. You will be charged P5.00 for every location alert.

How do I set time-based alerts?

To set time-based alerts, click Alerts on the menu then click Time-based Alerts. This will show a list of your existing time-based alerts. Click Add a Time-based Alert to go to the Add Alert page. Select the name with whom you want to set an alert, enter a time for the alert, then click Set. This transaction is free. You will be charged P5.00 for every location alert.

What are Groups?

The Groups feature allows you to create groups and organize your contacts into those groups.

How do I add a group?

To add a group, click Groups on the menu then click Add a Group. Enter a name for your new Group then click Add. This transaction is free.

How do I assign a person to a Group?

You can assign a person to a Group by clicking Find a Person on the menu. These will show the listing of contacts you can find. To assign a person to a group, in the Group column, simply select the group you want a person to belong. This transaction is free.

What is Who Tracked You?

This feature allows you to see a list of persons who inquired about your location today. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

What is Status?

Status allows you to deactivate your Tracker service. When deactivated, you cannot be located and you cannot locate anyone on your list. Each transaction costs Php2.50.

What is Invisible setting?

This feature allows you to set your invisible setting, hiding you on selected days or from selected persons.

How do I add an Invisible setting?

To add an invisible setting, click Invisible on the menu then click Add Invisible Setting. For Invisibile setting per day, set frequency to today or Day of Week and select a specific day, then click Add. For Invisible setting per group or specific person, select Group or Specific Person, select Group Name or Person Name, then click Add. or Each transaction costs Php2.50.

How do I change my Password?

To change your password, click on Change Password on the menu. Enter your new preferred password, confirm your new preferred password, and then click Change. This transaction is free.

How accurate are the locations used/given by this service?

These services only work with a general location or vicinity of a subscriber. The services will not give precise, specific locations, but will describe the general geographical area of a subscriber's location.

Locations are closer in approximation in the urban areas than in rural areas.
